  • Support Anti-Hunger Programs in PA State Budget

State programs like the State Food Purchase Program (SFPP) and the Pennsylvania Agricultural Surplus System (PASS) are critical to keeping shelves stocked with fresh, nutritious food while supporting Pennsylvania farmers and local economies. Right now, state budget decisions will determine whether these programs can meet growing need. Use our easy form to contact your state legislators and urge them to support strong funding for SFPP, PASS, and SNAP in this year’s state budget. It only takes a minute!

  • Protect Pennsylvanians from SNAP Benefits Theft

So far this year, the Pennsylvania Office of State Inspector General has received more than 5,100 reports of SNAP benefits theft totaling nearly $2.5 million in stolen benefits due to skimming. HB 2540 would require the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services to transition to secure, chip-enabled EBT cards, similar to the technology already used on most debit and credit cards. This simple modernization would help prevent fraud, protect taxpayer dollars, and ensure benefits remain available for the Pennsylvanians who rely on them. Send a message to your State Senator urging them to support HB 2540 and help protect Pennsylvania families from benefits theft.

  • Increase Funding for the NAP Tax Credit

In Pennsylvania, the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) connects businesses with community organizations, like food banks, to invest in projects that improve our communities. The Charitable Food Program (CFP) component of NAP is focused on improving food security in Pennsylvania and has assisted Feeding Pennsylvania Food Banks in providing more nutritous foods and growing overall operations. Use the form below to contact your state legislators and urge them to support increased funding for NAP in this year’s state budget. It only takes a minute!
