TopStar Express Partnering with Feeding PA with their ‘Cup of Hope’ Campaign
Four Feeding PA food banks across the TopStar Express footprint will receive funds raised throughout 2023
Nazareth, Pa. (For Immediate Release) — TopStar Express, a locally owned and operated convenience store chain in Eastern PA, prides itself on conducting community awareness projects throughout the year. In 2023, TopStar Express has partnered with Feeding Pennsylvania on their “Cup of Hope” campaign. Through this endeavor, a portion of all coffee cup sales is donated to helping five local food banks in Pennsylvania. “Customers can help their community while enjoying a delicious cup of fresh, locally brewed premium coffee,” said Megan Cardine, Vice President of Retail Operations at TopStar Express.
“This fundraiser could not come at a more critical time; with soaring food prices and the inflation rate at its highest in forty years, many Pennsylvanians are facing impossible choices between buying food and paying for other necessities like rent and medicine,” said Shea Saman, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Feeding Pennsylvania. “We are extremely appreciative of Top Star Express for developing the “Cup of Hope” campaign to assist in raising awareness and funds for Pennsylvanians facing hunger.”
Allison Czapp, Associate Executive Director at the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania, echoed this sentiment from the food bank perspective, “The Cup of Hope campaign run by Top Star Express will enable us to stretch the funds raised to purchase healthy, nutritious food for our local neighbors in need.” She continued, “We are most grateful for Top Star Express and their incredible generosity.”
TopStar Express will be hosting a donation collection on behalf of the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania that will benefit local school pantries. These pantries are requesting the following items: shelf-stable milk pints, individual cereal bowls, macaroni and cheese bowls, fruit cups, granola bars, and applesauce cups. Donations of these items and a generous donation from TopStar Express to Feeding Pennsylvania will take place during TopStar Express’s Community Appreciation Event on Friday, August 18th from 10am-2pm at 216 Nazareth Pike Bethlehem, PA.
