Jane Clements-Smith is the Executive Director of Feeding Pennsylvania. Under her leadership, Feeding Pennsylvania has launched a number of new initiatives, including Fill a Glass with Hope ®, the nation’s first statewide charitable fresh milk distribution program, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association, the Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program, and the Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association. Jane has also focused on forging key partnerships through education and increased visibility and supporting Pennsylvania’s charitable food distribution network by working with Feeding Pennsylvania’s members on strategic investments in transportation and infrastructure needs. Notably, Jane has facilitated the efforts of the Feeding America food banks to streamline produce sharing and increase the distribution of healthy foods through the formation of a statewide produce sourcing group, which includes representatives from all eight member food banks.
Prior to beginning at Feeding Pennsylvania in June of 2015, Jane served as the Annual Giving and Fundraising Event Officer for The Guthrie Clinic, a nonprofit integrated health system located in north central Pennsylvania and Upstate New York. In this capacity, Jane was responsible for all aspects of the organization’s major fundraising events and internal annual giving campaigns. Before that, Jane worked for Chesapeake Energy, the second-largest producer of natural gas in the United States, as a manager in corporate development, overseeing all community relations, outreach, and education in Chesapeake’s northeastern Pennsylvania operating area.
Jane lives in Harrisburg with her husband, Mark, and their daughter, Louise.
